Feast of tournament baseball on offer in New Year

Australian baseball is poised for a feast of high-quality elite competition early in the New Year, with three major events scheduled at home and abroad during January.

The National Youth Championship (for Under 18 and Under 16 age groups) will be held at Blacktown Sportspark in Sydney, from 9-18 January.

The Women’s National Championship will be decided at the Narrabundah Complex (Canberra) in a series that will run from 10-17 January.

Our Australian 18U squad will travel to New Zealand to participate in the prestigious Oceania Championship scheduled for 23-26 January.

With each of these events expected to attract considerable interest and attention within the baseball community, Australian Baseball Alumni will seek to provide day-to-day reporting along with live images and comment from some of those directly engaged in the action.

Baseball Australia will of course be providing comprehensive reporting on each of these major tournaments.

We invite Alumni members and others to provide us with material and news pertaining to any of the events, which can be followed via the following linked images when they are made live shortly. Please email to kcollins@iprimus.com.au or movfin@excite.com

With so much of interest happening in Australian baseball all-year round, Australian Baseball Alumni will seek to provide its members with news and features of general, national and international concern.

If you have breaking news that you would like to share, or if you have a story idea that you believe should be pursued, please contact us either via the editor link or directly to kcollins@iprimus.com.au.
