Former ABL star seeks coaching role

Lead-off hitter and a quality outfielder for the Melbourne Monarchs Australian Baseball League championship team of 1992/93, William “Pookie” Wilson is seeking a coaching position in Australian baseball for the upcoming summer season.

 

A long-term fixture in the Florida Marlins Minor League system, Pookie Wilson served eighteen years in professional baseball as a player and scout before building his reputation as a results-driven, skilled baseball coach with advanced training and hitting strategies.

 

Vastly experienced in all aspects of competition baseball - including organisation, direction and administration - Pookie Wilson is a hands-on leader looking for a senior coaching challenge in Australian baseball.

 

A great communicator who has played with and instructed players from all around the world, he offers special expertise in the areas of hitting, baserunning and defence.
