Alumni Auction: Under 18 World Cup signed bat
Australian Baseball Alumni is pleased to notify of an eBay auction that opened on Tuesday 15 September and will close on Sunday 20 September.
The item for auction is a signed bat (see images) from the Under 18 national team that finished fourth at the recent World Cup in Osaka Japan.
With Australia ranked fourteen in the world going into the tournament, Australia performed exceptionally well – including a thrilling extra innings win over Cuba, which is ranked in the top four baseball nations. On the Australian squad were players with the potential to play at the highest levels in professional baseball, making the signed bat an even more desirable collectable.
Thanks to the support of our members and the baseball public, Australian Baseball Alumni was able to make a financial contribution to the Under 18 World Cup campaign.
All proceeds from this auction – and from others to come – will be directed towards support of our emerging young players.
